The multi championship team of Power Maxed Racing will contest the 2025 BTCC season after partnering with Motor Parts Direct for the season.

The two brands already have a long existing partnership through 181 Nationwide Motor Parts Direct stores as the two now look to further their partnership with a look towards a two-car programme under the Motor Parts Direct with Power Maxed Racing banner.

The team will certainly have a single car entry for the opening round with the driver to be announced later on in the week, but the team looks to bring in another manufacturer for their second entry this season. Power Maxed Racing is heading into this season with a lot of silverware from the previous year taking both the Independent Driver and Teams Championships in dominating fashion while also having won the Jack Sears Trophy last year as well.

Motor Parts Direct meanwhile, offers motor parts all across the nation for both trade garages and retail customers. Despite offering similar products to it’s competitors, Motor Parts Direct prides themselves on quality of service and developing staff to deliver both services and knowledge that exceeds customer expectations.

The base livery is a red, white and yellow format with it taking on a completely different look to the Power Maxed Racing cars of years gone by. The teams driver announcement will take place this Wednesday before taking on pre-season testing ahead of the 2025 season.

Daren Wykes, Managing Director of Motor Parts Direct, said: “We have worked with Automotive Brands and their Power Maxed and Steel Seal brands for well over 10 years. We have attended the BTCC numerous times over the years with Power Maxed Racing and therefore know them very well. We have also seen just how engaged the BTCC fan base is, and we have wanted to be involved in the championship for some time, we felt PMR were the obvious and best choice for us to partner with. We were delighted when the opportunity presented itself, albeit earlier than expected, and we just had to find a way to make it happen. Our colleagues here at Motor Parts Direct are so excited about the partnership and I am sure our customer base will be too.”

Kevin Blazey, Motor Parts Direct Marketing Director, said: “Motor Parts Direct have established an enviable reputation for quality and reliability, an ethos that aligns perfectly with both motorsport and Power Maxed Racing. We are very excited to bring our brand to the BTCC, alongside that of long-term partners Power Maxed, and look forward to the opportunities it creates for us both on and off the track.”

Team Principal of Power Maxed Racing, Adam Weaver, said: “This is something that I have tried to make happen for a number of years, therefore I'm incredibly happy that it is now going to become reality. I know Daren, Kevin and many of the team across Motor Parts Direct as I have worked with them for years, so it’s really exciting to be starting this journey with such a strong relationship already established. As a race team we are looking forward to making sure that their experience of the BTCC is a fantastic one and look forward to helping them elevate their brand even further.”
