The 2023 British GT Champions and Silverstone 500 winners of that same year will team up once more for the Silverstone 500 to win the race for a second time.

The duo race together in GT World Challenge Europe currently after taking the title in British GT and Silverstone 500 win before separating for 2024. Leung regularly races in WEC where he took a win in his debut season last year. Meanwhile Harper is now a top face of the BMW factory lineup where he moved through the ranks of the manufacturer.
The pairing will race in the new BMW M4 GT3 Evo and with Leung’s newly founded team of Paradine Competition. The team has already proven successful in GT World Challenge Europe with a second in class at Paul Ricard. Leung seemed like he would have made it back-to-back wins of the infamous race last year alongside Dries Vanthoor before a refuelling issue cost them. Harper and Leung aim to claim their second Silverstone 500 win, a feat only Sandy Mitchell has achieved.
Darren Leung stated: “Truth be told the new Evo isn’t a great deal different to the previous M4, with which I could and probably should have won the last two 500s. I really love this race; the endurance element suits me, there are options to play with strategy, and Dan is always fast there. Plus, and unlike the full-season entries, there are no championship considerations: we intend to win, pure and simple. And I do think we have a great chance of doing that.”
Dan Harper added: “I’m incredibly excited to be returning to the British GT Championship grid for the Silverstone 500. It’s a busy year for me racing in North America and Europe, so to get the chance to fit in a ‘home’ race in British GT is fantastic. We have fond memories of winning the Silverstone 500 in 2023, it was a crucial moment for us on our way to winning the title. It was an honour to win such a prestigious race, and we’d love to add our name to the winners’ trophy again this year.”
